Bei der 2025er Edition der IT-Tage in Frankfurt hab ich im Rahmen des “Digitale Souveränität”-Track einen Vortrag zu den zertifizierbaren Standards und der Zertifizierung im Sovereign Cloud Stack gehalten. Der Vortrag wurde leider nicht aufgezeichnet.

Zusammen mit Friederike Zelke war ich bei openCode Connect zu Gast und hab zum Sovereign Cloud Stack referiert. Das war eine tolle Veranstaltung und das ZenDiS ist ein toller Gastgeber und hat mit openCode Connect eine gelungene Veranstaltungsreihe.

“State of affairs: Confidential Computing on OpenStack”

Felix Kronlage-Dammers will shed light on the evolving landscape of confidential computing within OpenStack-based cloud environments. With technologies like AMD SEV and Intel SGX available for years, the focus now turns to their integration and utilization within OpenStack infrastructures. While AMD SEV has been supported in OpenStack since the Train release, Intel SGX support remains in the realm of patch sets, yet to be fully integrated upstream. Kronlage-Dammers unveils ongoing efforts within the Sovereign Cloud Stack project to forward-patch existing Intel code for integration into OpenStack Bobcat, underscoring the importance of confidential computing in digital sovereign environments.

The presentation offers an insightful overview of confidential computing’s use cases in cloud environments, emphasizing its role in bolstering security and sovereignty. [DE] Virtueller Roundtable zur Swiss Government Cloud und dem Sovereign Cloud Stack

Zusammen mit Kurt Garloff und Gerhard Andrey, Mitglied des Parldigi-Kernteams und Nationalrat der Grünen aus dem Kanton Freiburg.

Am Mittwoch, dem 11. Dezember 2024, veranstaltete die Parlamentarische Gruppe Digitale Nachhaltigkeit (Parldigi) von 14:00 bis 15:00 Uhr einen virtuellen Roundtable zum Thema der Swiss Government Cloud (SGC) und dem Sovereign Cloud Stack (SCS).

SCS Lightning Talk - Timeblocking

Each week the SCS Community has a weekly community call in which we invite members to give a 15 minute lightnint talk. One of the hurdles I see for many colleagues is to have their calendar under control ;)

Univention Summit 2022 - Digitale Souveränität in der zivilen Seenotrettung

Auf dem Univention Summit 2022 haben Mareike, Nic und ich (als Teil des IT-Teams von Sea-Watch) über Digitale Souveränität in der zivilen Seenotrettung gesprochen.

Sea-Watch e.V. ist eine gemeinnützige Initiative, die sich seit 2014 der zivilen Seenotrettung im zentralen Mittelmeer verschrieben hat. Seit Gründung ist die Organisation stetig gewachsen und damit auch die IT-Infrastruktur. Von Facebook Gruppen und Gruppenchats, privates GoogleDrive und nicht miteinander verknüpften Mailkonten in einem privaten Webhostingvertrag ist Sea-Watch inzwischen auf UCS mit einer Nextcloud und OX Integration umgestiegen, um kollaboratives Arbeiten und Kommunizieren über Ländergrenzen hinweg zu verbessern.
