CW 43 - Weekly bin
A weekly collection of items that I find noteworthy but where I don’t get around to write something bigger about. These might be articles I’ve read, sites I’ve come around, things I learned or cool products I came across.
- My colleague Andrej has a blog that is definitly worth taking a look at if you care for home automation, technology and views on the world.
- Florian Haas has posted a good article on his blog, titled: This Meeting Should Have Been an Email. I couldn’t agree more with him. Following that Lenz spun off a discussion on twitter which mentioned Warnock’s dilemma
- Adidas Velosamba is back in stock and it is awesome, comfy and the cleats are not noticeable :)
- A coffee chat at work touched the subject of the loudness war. Even though I listen to a lot of music, something I wasn’t aware of.
- Because I like Ted Lasso I came across other stuff with Jason Sudeikis and really enjoyed Driven - which features the story of DeLorean (the car company as well as the guy who founded it).
- (german) - O’Reilly has a book for children about open technology
- A good Changelog episode on Oh my zsh
- While fiddling with goroutines, I came across this example gist on restarting goroutines
- Pragmatic Engineer has a nice article on Incident Review and Post-Mortem Best Practices - definitly worth reading if you are in the operations/SRE part of the game.
- Third issue of the OpenBSD Webzine is out.
